Michael J. Negrón is the Founder, President and CEO of NEGRON Consulting. His consulting practice is focused on leadership development, coaching, diversity initiatives, workshop facilitation and select services to the nonprofit sector as well. Negrón's consulting work has included projects with Travelers, Aetna, Priceline.com, Fortune 50 Telecom and Consumer Marketing firms, The McGraw-Hill Companies, Hartford Foundation for Public Giving, Third Sector New England, Community Foundation for Greater New Haven, Hispanics in Philanthropy, Fortune 500 Pharmaceutical and Global Energy firms, Cendant Mobility, and the National Society of Hispanic MBAs (NSHMBA). In 2005, Michael Negrón served NSHMBA as its Interim CEO during a significant transitional phase for this premiere national membership association.
Michael's corporate and operational experience includes assignments at a division of CBS, with a European based manufacturer, and with a CT-based Fortune 500 enterprise. Assignments included positions as Director of International Finance, a 4 year project in Puerto Rico, and M&A work in Latin America and Europe.
Negrón has achieved Accreditation in Emotional Competence Inventory from the Hay Group, and Resilience Factors Inventory from Adaptiv Learning (University of Pennsylvania), as well as completing the requirements for Lominger Leadership Architecture facilitation, and Executive Transition Management. Over the past decade, he has conducted nearly a thousand coaching sessions with multicultural talent and within multiple industry sectors throughout the country. Specifically, over the past 4 years, Michael has conducted over 300 coaching consultation sessions with high value multicultural talent for three Fortune 500 organizations. In 2009, Michael also participated in a week long conference and training at the Emotional Intelligence & Diversity Institute (UCLA Conference Center). Michael holds an MBA from St. John's University, and a Bachelor's Degree from Bernard M. Baruch College (CUNY).
Michael has served on the Boards of Casa Otoñal, the Progreso Latino Fund, NSHMBA, Rotary International, the IMA, United Way, NextGenLeaders (PeaceJam Foundation affiliate), and Dreaming with Cameras. Michael and his wife Edita live in Guilford, CT and their two adult sons have launched their careers in New York City and Tokyo, Japan. Finally, Michael is an avid NY Mets fan and loves photography.
